From humble beginnings with a 1.5L still to a thriving pan-island operation, Channel Islands Liquor Co. is the embodiment of passion. For over 10 years, our head distiller Luke Wheadon has built a spirit house that proudly carries on the Wheadon family’s fine liquor heritage — first established in Guernsey in 1865.

With one distillery in Guernsey and another in Jersey, we craft spirits that speak of place, provenance and bold personality.

What began with the now-iconic Wheadon’s Gin has grown into a diverse and evolving portfolio. Today, we produce not only Wheadon’s small-batch expressions, but also the refined Pink Granite Gin, our bold and boundary-pushing Indica Rum and Spiced Rum, and the approachable, bartender-loved House Pour range. Alongside these, our limited-edition releases push creative boundaries — and can often be found behind the bar in most of the Channel Islands’ best-loved venues.

We believe in big, bold, botanical flavour. Every spirit we create is infused with the fresh, the foraged, and the fearless — from cliff-picked rock samphire to hibiscus, yuzu and rare citrus from island growers.

Our gin and rum recipes are expressions of creativity, crafted for people who care about where their drink comes from — and how it tastes.

Two Islands. Two Distilleries. One Shared Passion.

From bold experimentation to precision production, our two island distilleries each play a unique role in our flavour journey — united by a spirit of curiosity and craftsmanship.

The Vivier Bunker, Guernsey

Tucked into the coastline of Castle Pier in St Peter Port, our Guernsey site is anything but ordinary. The Vivier Bunker, once a WWII German built fuel store, now houses our 230L copper hybrid still known affectionately as 'Old Nick' in a distillery full of character.

Here, head distiller Luke Wheadon explores the frontier of flavour. This is the home of our experimental and small batch gins and rums, often crafted using a variety of still types, maceration techniques, and vapour extraction methods. Often using foraged island botanicals, this is where some of our most original expressions are born — and sometimes, disappear just as quickly.

The Sail Loft, Jersey

Across the water in Jersey, you’ll find our production centre nestled into the island’s South Pier in St Helier. It’s here that ‘Sophie’ — our 370L copper hybrid still — distils our core range with precision and care.

From Wheadon’s Gin and Pink Granite to our House Pour and Indica Rum expressions, most of what ends up behind bars across the islands starts its life here. Every bottle is hand-finished and labelled on site, reinforcing our commitment to small-batch craft, even at scale.

The Sail Loft also houses our Spirit Lab — a space for collaboration, sensory testing and the occasional unexpected delight.
